Bread Knives
Our stainless steel Sabatier bread knives have deep serrations which allow you to cut even very soft bread without crushing it.
Thiers-Issard make a distinction between kitchen knives and table knives. Certain of their knives that will be mainly used at table, such as these bread knives, are only available in stainless steel for two reasons. Firstly, the enduring brightness of stainless steel gives a better appearance and secondly the hand-cut serrations in these types of knife do not lend themselves to frequent sharpening as required by carbon steel blades. However, the stainless steel will keep its edge to provide a clean cut for a considerable time before any sharpening is required.
