This 8"/20cm cook's knife has a carbon steel blade and a hardwearing black nylon handle. A good general purpose knife which would make the perfect start to a collection - useful for chopping, dicing and slicing all types of fruit and vegetables. We are selling this knife as a second as there are areas with slight discolouration as well as some small scratches along the blade surface. These are all very minor and will be masked by the patination which occurs to the knife once it has been used. Please note that carbon steel knives quickly acquire a patina and an aged look. If you are looking for a knife which stays bright and shiny then your choice should be a stainless steel knife. Carbon steel knives have a greater vulnerability to corrosion and staining.
