Carving Knives
Our Sabatier carving knives are used for slicing meat and as such have a shallower blade than cook’s knives. This is to allow large pieces of meat to be cut into slices.
We stock carving knives in two blade lengths; 8 inch and 10 inch. The 8 inch Yatagan carver is a specialist carving knife and is perfect for dealing with large cuts of meat. The curve in the blade resembles the design of a traditional yatagan blade allowing the knife to penetrate through tendons and fat.
Carving Forks
To complement our selection of knives we are also pleased to offer two types of carving fork. These are made of stainless steel these 2 pronged forks are used to hold the meat steady as it is being sliced. The first has a straight 6.5 inch blade and is referred to as a bayonet fork. The second has a 6 inch curved blade and unsurprisingly is referred to as a curved blade.
